IAC
In 2003, your committee made an application to join the International Associate Clubs (IAC), an association of 200 exclusive and private clubs in 40 countries on five continents. We are delighted to be able to report that the Cape Town Club now belongs to the IAC network. Together with our existing reciprocity clubs, the Cape Town Club now enjoys reciprocal relationships with more than 400 clubs worldwide. With service centres in Berlin and Hong Kong, the IAC is an organisation dedicated to providing a consistently prestigious environment for the pursuit of business and leisure activities.
IAC clubs vary from city sanctuaries to luxurious resorts, each with its own individual flavour, but all sharing with the Cape Town Club one common denominator: they are run to the most exacting standards demanded by their discerning members. Like our club, the membership of IAC clubs embraces political, professional, social and business leaders in top cities worldwide. Of particular value, we believe, to members of the Cape Town Club is the variety which is to be found within the IAC network. Apart from elegant dining clubs with leading international restaurants, many with luxury accommodation, the list which follows includes nearly 40 world-class golf and country clubs, and over 60 clubs equipped with either a spa or at least comprehensive fitness facilities.
These clubs will be especially useful for our members travelling on holiday with their families. Visiting an IAC club requires much the same process as that which pertains to our existing reciprocal clubs, including a letter of introduction, as well as possession of a Cape Town Club membership card. However, in addition, you will need to obtain before departure an IAC membership card from the club secretary in your name as well.
