CELEBRATING 150 YEARS OF TRADITION

In 2008, the club celebrates its 150th anniversary and a sub-committee has been established to co-ordinate the programme which will commemorate this auspicious milestone in your clubs history.

The sub-committee is planning a number of activities during the course of the year, including commemorative dinners, golf day, and a weekend away. Peter Soal is responsible for the events programme.

Long standing club member, author and former Cape Times journalist Willem Steenkamp has been commissioned to produce the new club history (1976-2007) which will be published, and available for sale to members, during the course of 2008.

Also on sale from November will be tasteful 150th branded merchandise, including a commemorative tie, glassware and silverware products.

The sub-committee comprises Kerry Capstick-Dale (chairman), Gareth Ackerman, James Sedgwick, Dick Broome, Peter Soal, Pat McLaughlin, Gary Rockliff-Fidler and the Club Chairman.
